The event focused on introducing Place Capital Group and Placeshaping to the community, seeking people's views on what they liked and disliked about their neighbourhood. A copy of the consultation boards shared at the event can be found here.

The event was accompanied by the launch of the Common Place site, on which you can find the online Resident Survey (Have Your Say Today) where you can answer more specific questions and provide feedback to help us identify the key opportunities and challenges on the estate.

Feedback received so far has covered:

• A great sense of community.
• Access to green open space.
• Quiet neighbourhood.
• Lack of local provision of amenities and infrastructure.
• Whilst there are concerns about more housing due to lack of infrastructure, there is an acknowledgement that there is a housing need. 
• Lack of provision for children and teenagers.
• Low quality open spaces (previous house clearance) attract motorbike and quad bikes.
• Issues with on-street parking.
• Existing housing stock could be improved.

Over the next few weeks, we will continue to review feedback and reflect on this as we develop our proposals. Whilst some issues raised are beyond our control, we are working towards a design that best balances everyone in the community. We are also speaking with Calderdale council to ensure that they are aware of the wider issues raised.
